...at Wild Sports in Orangevale. I don't know if Smith & Wesson still has their rebate going, but either way this is a great deal if you can handle their customer service (or lack thereof!).

I've actually had very good experiences with wild sports lately. This seems to be the trend.

I was looking at a remington 700 sps varmint and ended up in a half-hour conversation with one of the workers about different actions, how I should come out to sac valley (i actually had just come from there) to watch some of the competitions and talked to me about his own experiences in long-range iron site shooting.

I hope you weren't putting down S&W customer service....

NO! Wild Sports doesn't have the best reputation, but I hear their customer service is getting better.

The rebate has changed to $30 OR two mags from $50 and two mags IIRC

From What I have read, the 2 mags is a much better deal.

And yes, the customer service is getting much better.

I just P/U my Kimber Custom II last Sat. :D
But, had to wait their stupid 11 days.

The 2 mags is a far better deal, the mags are $35-$45 apiece.

Anyone know if these are the ones with the internal lock?

If you mean the little key that you turn to stop the gun from being able to fire, then yes they are. I thought that was standard across the M&P line, but maybe not.

You mean the mag disconnect? M&P's should have that standard. It won't fire unless there's a magazine inserted.

I know they have those. I am asking about the "key lock". The ca compliant M&P come with or without that lock.

Mine came with mag disconnect and no internal lock. The internal lock is not a mandatory thing, but the mag disconnect is.

Thanks for the responses. I just got back from Wild Sports and bought an m&p. It did not have the internal lock but did have the mag safety. I read alot of negative about the shop but they were helpful and the process went fast not to mention the price cant be beat.
