Why the tlr-2 what is the difference

High quality product. I take it you want the laser/light combo? The TLR-2 is the same as the TLR-1, but with a laser.

If you want just the light, the TLR-1 is great. Plenty bright, long battery life and the on/off switch location is perfect. Held perfect mounted at the range after about 100 rounds.

Both are made in America, and lifetime guarantee. H

I have the M6X and love it. Very bright, durable, waterproof and the switches are excellent. The M6X is very easy to install and remove from the rails, no screws to deal with.

I've used it on my SIG's, Glock and is currently on my XD-45. It's clicks in nice and tight on all of my weapons, no movement at all.

The M6X is also made in America and has a lifetime warranty.

The M6 series uses a Incandescent, xenon filled bulb. These have been known to go out. Im not saying yours will, but that could be an issue.

The TLs as Slayer suggested is indeed a excellent choice. They use a LED bulb.
I have owned, and do own 2 of the Insight lights. I have the TLR series in light only, and light/laser. They focused spotting like beam of the TLR is incredible. LED also sips battery life, it uses less energy then the incandescent series.

I love the Surefire series and am a dealer for those as the Stremlight series, frankly I was able to get the Streamlight for less, and it works as well as the Surefire.

Anyways, its awesome you are looking for light on your weapon.. Good luck with what ever you choose..

Both are owned by Streamlight if I recall correctly..and the M series is incandescent...which is baaaaaad. Get the TLRx by Streamlight with LEDs.

TLR1 is about $80 shipped and the TLR2 is probably between $150-$200 shipped.
