I am starting this thread to encourage ALL Sacramento area NRA members to come join our NRA members council meetings. They are held on the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30 P.m. at Cordova Shooting Center. We need more participation in the council as we have consistently had the same handful of people doing everything. I am currently on the recruiting committee and figured this would be one way to get the word out. Come out and support your NRA council and remember, if you are an NRA member, this is YOUR council and you have equal say in what goes on there.

These are the guys who staff the booths at the gun shows and other locations (if there are enough people involved to cover other events). Many of them also run NRA classes.

We run booths at the gunshow, we also man a booth for the Eddie Eagle program. We set up a BB gun booth for local scouting events. We also hold quarterly fun shoots. We keep abreast of local politics (although I would like to see enough members get involved to do more grass roots work). We also provide scholarships and funding for local school shooting teams. Come on down and see what it is all about.:D

I would come but I would be hard pressed to make it on time and I can't really afford the gas to drive out there. I have always wanted to go to a gun show and be at the NRA booth though.

I am the chairman of the Friends of the NRA dinner in Elk Grove. If you are in Elk Grove or close by and want to help out with the dinner, send me a pm. Our next meeting is at 7:00 PM on Tuesday July 1st.

We would love to have you at our meeting. Right now there are only a few of us on the board but there will be more soon. It would be great if we could carpool. I will try to arrange my work so that I can be back in Elk Grove early enough.
