Selling a HK 911 with date code IK. All black furniture!!! The rifle is basically the same as the 91 but has been marked 911 by the factory and is legal to own!!! It has a small mark on the barrel through the finish but not into the metal. The rubber butt pad has came off but should be able to be put back on or simply install another. Very very slight marks where a scope mount would attach. A few other wear marks but otherwise is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. The internals are excellent +++, shot very little. I would rate the rifle at 95%+ condition. The receiver will ship to your FFL. I will need a signed copy of an FFL to ship the rifle to. Everything else will ship to the buyer. Would be interested in a partial trade for 77/44 ruger, ar15 lowers or uppers, hk firearms or accessories. I just found this board thanks to another member at another site. I have plenty of references so please ask if you need any verification. Asking $2495.00 shipped.

That looks like a HK SR9? Does it have a polygonal barrel?

Here is a pic of the side of the receiver showing the 911 designation. Thanks.

There ain't to many of them 911 rifles out there (<1000??)

Here's a real HK you can own in CA, and very easy to add a raddlock or plug up the thumbhole. If I had the scratch, I would snatch this up in a heartbeat.

Bump for a fine lookin' rifle.

....

Actually less than 150 were actually converted into the HK911 version. Basically just that last shipment of HK91s, that somewhat made it thru customs (partially) in May 89 when the hammer came down and caught them midstream to HK-USA.

The mark on the barrel is the finished rubbed off the solder. It is covering the set screw that is holding the barrel shroud on.

I respect the knowledge HUNTER has on the Hk91 / 911's On the HKpro website they show that 1440 91's were imported that year. I'm not clear on whether they were 91's or 911's....or a combination of both? maybe for LE and civi's??

Anyone care to take a stab at it?

The 1440 is for the total HK-91s shipped from HK germany to HK-USA. There were no HK-911 actually "made" in germany and therefore none imported. These were reconfigured HK-91s by HK-USA in order to sell them after the ban. HK never imported another HK-91 or HK-911 after May '89 for civilian sales. The next rifle was the SR-9 series that were true "sporterized" rifles, with a different barrel but the same HK911 furniture initally until they came up with the faux woodgrain stuff.

If anyone has any additional info to add or correct, I sure would be interested in hearing it as well. It is always hard to get the "whole" story on any of the HK dealings.

From another source:

HK91's @ 1,100 in 1989.

I base this on the following:

1. HK91 (41-06073X)
2. HK911 (41-06086X through 41-06185X).

These were just HK91's, caught in Customs at the onset of the 03-14-89/Executive Order ("89 ban"), then remarked by adding a "1" next to the "91" (hence, 911) and neutered.
