Anyone has anything to say about the saiga .308 vs the M1A? Looking to buy, wanted hear reviews or experience with the two. Which would you buy? Thanks

.308 Saigas can, and have been, converted to be able to use M14 mags. :D

buy 4 saiga 308s first. in different barrel lengths and furniture. Then go buy your M1A. Those will be around without much more price inflation.

Are you guys kidding? Buy bought is your only advice, without offering opinions as to why. Seriously, can I get little more guidance and help here? Please? I need critiques of the fire arm and experiences. I want to be an informed buyer.

There is no basis for comparison.

One is an expensive thread-cutter, the other a cheap knockabout plinker.

M1A is a commercial semi-auto variant of an U.S. Military firearm with it's roots of the M1 Garand. Solid and accurate.

Saiga is based on the USSR's AK platform, loose and dependable, simple as most Russian firarms are.

better?

Can anyone provide more information on this conversion? I looked at one today and am seriously considering picking it up tomorrow.

How about FN metric mags--anyone done that conversion? That would seriously interest me since I have an FAL.

TIA--:)
