View Full Version : WTS: Yugo M59 SKS

I'm putting a Yugo M59 SKS up for sale. I'm trying to clear up some space in the house and this can go.

I bought this from Turners back on 08/29/2004 when they had the M59s available for sale. I've literally less than 60 rounds through this ever since I bought it. If you know me and my style of shooting, the SKS is not my kind of rifle.

Anyway, the pictures below basically describe it. The numbers don't appear to be matching, but the bore and rifling is good (I hand picked it based on the bore when I was at Turners in Riverside).

The gun has been cleaned of cosmoline the day I brought it home. The stock was never restained or refinished with BLO or TOF, so will look a lot better if you hit it with a new finish of some sort.

Last time I put a round through it was back in 2004 and it's been stored away in a safe ever since today.

$200. Will do the PPT anywhere in Riverside, SB, Highland, Redlands area. I've got a friend with an FFL in Colton/Rialto if you want to do a PPT there.

Whoever buys this rifle can have the soft case that is pictured. It's one of those $10 gun show cases. Nothing special, but it keeps the dust off of it.

Second in line if it falls through.

Not bad,I'd consider it if I was less broke and closer. I never understood people trying to sell Chinese ones for much more. Only thing I like better on a Chinese is the chrome lined bore.

Isn't another difference the Pinned barrel? I thought that was also less desirable.

Some Chinese guns have the threaded in barrel. I don't think it makes much practial difference. I'd like to own the Chinese paratroop variation again, handy like an M1 carbine, just heavier. I have one of the chromed out Chinese "honor guard" parade version and I actually shoot it. I need a beater like this Yugo.

This is still available.

I've had two people inquire if I'd go to OC for a PPT. I'm going to stick with my original parameters of a Riverside/SB/Highland/Redlands/Corona area PPT location.
