(Following RP1911's lead). ;)

A pair of my Italian BM's (BM50) up front and (BM69) in the back.

The magazines are only the mag body, not the full magazine.

The Comps are the Italian Airborne Detachable Compensator's

Beretta makes the M-14 -- and the BEST MAGAZINE EVER MADE!

Yes they are quite breathtaking, AND identified in the CA Assalt Weapons Identification Guide as such. They needed to be registered b4 1/1/2000. Makes no sense, but that's the way it is. I do not make the laws- just keep a heads up.

Only the Springfield Armory marked BM59.

Not sure if they were imported by another company, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were.

Also, the BM50 is not listed at all. As long as it's featureless or fixed-mag it's good to go.

The BM50, BM62 and BM69 are not listed by mfg. and model.

Pretty much the majority of the BM rifles and receivers were imported by Springfield Armory, then Reese Surplus took over the lot...

The 2 rifles have what are defined in the original military manual as Compensators. They are the Italian BM59 Airborne Model Detachable Compensators.

Plus they are cut somewhat similar to the Springfield Armory M1a California Compensators.

So basically a featureless rifle.

Now I am waiting on some custom made BM mag plugs....

try explaining that BEFORE the agent takes your rifle and charges you with possession... sure you'll win in the end, but it will cost you 15K and you'll get teh guns back all scratched and dented up. I'm an expert on this part!

Sorry to hear you went through that trouble and experience.

The rifles I own are mfg'd by Beretta, not Springfield Armory, like the ones on the ban list.

Mfg: Beretta Model: BM69 (Not Listed by mfg. & model)
Mfg: Beretta Model: BM50 (Not Listed by mfg. & model)

The one on the list is Springfield Armory BM59.

There would be no reason for them to come to my door and confiscate anything.

I am not saying that they are not stupid enough to do it, but I don't lose sleep over my collection..

..

The BM-series rifles were also originally imported by Berben & Benet in the 1970's and the BM62's & BM69's from that batch are very obviously not on the banned-by-name list since no where on the reciever does it say "Springfield Armory" not to mention the different model #'s.

Yes, that is right, they imported a small number of fully built rifles, where Springfield imported many of the parts, receivers and some fully built rifles.
