Looks like it's out. And I want one. I need one. I think with black grips it'll be gorgeous. I'm sure there will be a threaded barrel and none like the P220 Combat.
I'm hoping Sig can sneak it in like Glock did with the 21SF.
I like the look of it too, I will give Sig a call to see if they are going to submit it to DOJ.

oooh ;) i want one too ;)
I was thinking about this gun, can some one out of the state buy in and some how get it in CA, and sell it. Because I see some of the HK45 hundgun was selling on the Calguns.net AD? Thanks

Sig could probably get it on the list like the 21SF without the mag disconnect and chambered round indicator. But would they sale enough to warrant doing so is anyones guess.
Of course the threaded barrel would have to go. Seems stupid to have a TB and non-raised sights for the can in free states.
You could use the regular loop holes and get one in the state and PPT one as long as you switch the barrel to a regular one. Unfortunately I heard the factory TB barrel is hard chromed so you loose that feature.
Besides I'll bet you good money someone will have one for sale and mark this sucker up to 1500-2000 bucks when it retails a little over 900. And you can't have the TB which is usually worth a few more bucks.
But why does anyone want one? It's another 226. Yeah it has a few bells and whistles am I missing something.
A all green finish, I prefer all black. Supposed true 1913 spec rail unlike the regular R model. Ok guess they are getting off their asses on that. Hard chromed barrel only real improvement doesn't wear the finish bad like nitron.

Internal parts also get special treatment.
P226R retail is ~$800 with night sights so for $200 more, it doesn't seem like a bad deal to get the harder than Nitron finish (if you like it), hard chrome barrel, ruggedized internals, true mil spec rails.

The rail looks alot more obvious on a nonblack frame. They should two tone a version of this.
