everyone needs a simple build.

excluding the CTR and MIAD, it costed me alittle over 900.

not too bad!

Very nice. My basic rifle sees a lot more trigger time than my tricked out ones with all the goodies. It's just plain easier to get out of the safe.

tell me about it. its just more simple to pick up and shoot! i took it to On Target today and had a blast.
she worked perfectly.

that makes this my 5th fully functioning stag build. i dont know why the rumors are going around about stags quality, but so far 5 out of 5 have worked fine. i will not hesitate to buy another!

Yep, they sure are addicting. The fun part is that there are so many options available and you can interchange them between your other ARs if you want something different.

Building AR's is like building a small block Chevy. The possibilities are endless. you could build 100 different combos & they would all be different. Nice gun!

and they will all run for years like a Chevy!

FIVE builds?! Aren't you worried you'll run out of parts? :)

Seems incomplete. Needs a Clonepoint. 1337 tactical has a whole bunch of well made ones. Just my .02 cents.

well, quite the opposite :) building so many has left my house scattered with all kinds of parts and accessories. i already had a stock, buffer, tube & spring; as well as miscellaneous grips and lower receiver parts. so the build costed alot less than i had initially anticipated

i finally got to take her out a few weeks ago for my birthday fruit shoot. i went well over 900 rounds with only 2 FTL's on the count of a bad magazine. everything else worked absolutely superb, even after throwing wolf through there.

i have since upgraded the rifle with a few small accessories; FF rail, new pmags, takedown pin and some new gas rings., i also threw a TLR1 LED on recently as well as a magpul trigger guard. i still want to keep this build simple, so the last few upgrades will be a new eotech & DTNC comp.

Very Clean! Plans for any optics? I think an Eotech would be a perfect fit...

One Shot, you are right on the money. i plan on going the eotech route in the very near future. i love the optics and ease of use;

as for the rail, it is a midwest industries MCTAR 20. the base of the unit attaches to the barrel nut, which is under the delta ring.(which needs to be removed prior to installation). this is what allows free floating, as the rail itself does not touch any part of the barrel, but rather 'floats' or shrouds over it.

the rail installs with a few allen screws and a front end cap. it takes only about half an hour to complete and the results are pleasing to the eye

here is where i got my rail

coo, thanx, now i just need to know what all those parts look like and where they go on the rifle...ahaha. Dude i have no idea what a delta ring looks like...all the pics i've looked up are from old bad quality drawings that i can barely make out what the part does or how it fits...

Thanks for the info though...i'm jus a really visual type of person, gotta c and feel to understand.
