I have been following the 450 B.M. bolt pressure argument, and wonder if the following would improve bolt reliability in any AR using hot loads.
Armalite is cutting the bolt lug opposite the extractor back .02". They say this makes the bolt symetrical, therby removing the twisting stress placed on the bolt by no support at the extractor.
Armalite says this extends service life by 40%.
I saw someware that one company is using this on a 6.8mm bolt.
Does anyone think this would help the Bushmaster 450?
