Got my Olongapo Outfitters Garand Belt Pouches today, along w/ the lagniappe Olongapo Outfitters cover (cap).
Got One(1)/ea. of both the Two(2) and Four(4) pouch offerings.
Very nice kit. Heavy-duty and well made.
The Velcro closures are secure, and the pouches are a good fit for loaded clips - easy to load and unload, w/o any slop.
I set the Malice clips for large, but they still work fine on my 1-1/4" cotton web belt. very secure and comfortable, and close-in, so they don't flop when I run.
Good kit for the M1 Garand Rifleman.

Last year sometime, I was fortunate enough to snag an original OD M-1923 ammo belt for the exorbitant sum of $1. I was at a swap meet, and saw the end of it poking out from underneath a pile labeled "Ropa - $1 each".
According to This Page (http://marksmanship.org/Sales/askarmorercartridgebelts.htm), it is circa 1950's or later because it has a brass closure instead of the wartime zinc.
I have a khaki one as well, that I bought for $5 in the mid-70's from an Army Navy surplus store on Van Nuys Blvd. I've been using it for shotgun hunting since I was 16, each pouch carries three 12 gauge or four 20 gauge shells with ease.

I'll give it a bump... because these are Really nice. Should last forever...
Mixing them onto a pistol belt works very well. I put the Quad on the front-right, ahead of the pistol, and the deuce front-left, ahead of my compass and pistol mag pouches. Knife and canteen further back.
48 rounds on the belt, all easily accessible for rapid right-handed reloading from field positions.

Thank you sir for the link.
I ordered a stock ammo pouch, M1 Carbine style, except it's for 2 M1 Garand enbloc clips.
The 10 clip belt system is out of stock.
I will order it as soon as becomes in-stock again.
Thanks again!

I looked at those Stock-Pouches as well.
I opted for the Deuce Belt-Pouch b/c I wasn't sure of the effect on weight/balance/handling.
Please post your impressions on this issue when you get it. It may just offset the lack of a loaded stock-butt compartment.
Looks Uber handy.

Good to know, thanks.
My questions would be:
1. How does it work for rapid fire reloading? Do you have to dig them out and then fasten a clip to secure the pouch?
2. How is the concentrated weight? Can you run/move/shoot from field positions w/ it, or is it more like a shotgun pouch that you shoot w/ from the line or bench?
Olongapo Outfitters Garand Belt Pouches are very close-in, and the weight is dispersed, so they carry well on the move. They also do not hinder good field shooting positions. They put the loaded clips easily and quickly to hand for rapid reloading, and even if the Velcro doesn't catch (which would be rare), it is still an empty pouch at that point.

Looks like a good product, if I was doing some sort of run&gun with my M1, I may get them.
I have never had a problem with these though:

looks to be a nice product. in so cal, i recently saw the real deal for sale at Alamo Jewelry & Loan (west covina), and if i remember correctly the price wasn't too bad. if interested, i suggest calling in advance before making a trip.

I have never shot more than 50 rounds at a stretch w/ any High-power rifle.
Even 50 rounds is a pretty good day of field shooting.
The Deuce pouch on my 1-1/4 cotton web belt and an OWB paddle holster for the GLOCK will do for most BLM/tailgate/range shoots.
But we also like to set-up targets away from camp or use natural ones, and for that, the pistol belt and Quad pouch addition will come in handy.
I have a Bandi in the freezer for contingencies...

Not really designed for Six(6) 8 round clips... but works pretty well for Three(3) 20 round mags.
The Olongapo Outfitters Garand Belt Pouches sure work slick. No-look reloads.

I'll probably get the belt pouch when the one I want is in-stock.
I'll still give a full review as soon as I get my stock pouch.

"M1956 Universal Small Arms Ammunition Pouch
FSN 8465-647-0852Specification MIL-C-40159
Made from cotton duck, the M1956 Universal Ammunition Case was designed to accommodate various ammo loads, such as a folded bandoleer containing six 8-round clips of M1 ammunition or two BAR magazines. In Vietnam, M16 magazines proved too short for the Universal pouch and as a result a sock was often put in the bottom to raise the magazines up for faster retrieval during firefights. The case attached to the pistol belt via two slide keepers and had a supporting strap that clipped to the metal loop on the suspenders. In common with the majority of ammunition pouches, each case had strips on both sides for attaching hand grenades."

Pretty tough to do a rapid-fire reload from a folded Band stuffed in a pouch.

I finally received my buttstock 2 clip holder.
I really like the way it's installed. You have to take the buttstock off the action, and remove the sling swivel. Then you install it from the front, and slide it back, then re-install the sling swivel. It stays on nice and snug.
As far as weight goes, 2 loaded clips does add a lot. It's not so much weight that's intolerable, but definitely noticeable. It's no secret the M1 Garand is a heavy rifle.
Also, I'm not good at taking pictures on my phone. The ammo holder appears to look greenish. This is actually the khaki version which actually does look khaki in person.
Oh, and it definitely allows for really fast reloads!
I highly recommend this product. I am no way affiliated with this company.
Thanks OP for the recommendation.
