I just finished building my first OLL and already planning on purchasing another one. I know, I know, this is a disease. I was just wondering how many rifles you guys have built, so I know how many more I will end up purchasing. Thanks for all your help guys, this site is of great help.

I'm not much of a collector so you guys could easily put my collection to shame. So, one of each... rifle, shotgun and pistol.

I don't have any now. I donated them all to the Brady auction to help make our streets and communities safer. I just want to do my part so these evil weapons don't wind up in the hands of wackos, perverts and child molesters.

Okay, so I lied. I would tell you even if I could count that high.:D

I've got a Red Rider!

Lucky bastard.

I still haven't had the courage to go and buy one. But I have noticed more then once at the Wal-Mart; grown men staring at the box, or pointing to the wife, "hey look a red-rider!" The wife staring back with an odd expression; slightly disgusted, but mostly a questioning look on her face that says "your really not serious, are you ever going to grow up?"

You can see it in the mens faces... they really want to take it home, and pop a few shots off in the back yard.

And there I was, one Sunday afternoon the first time I overheard a man say that to his wife. My ears perked up, and I quickly closed the ground between me and where his hand was pointing. Four stacked orange boxes with Red Rider emblazoned in red across the tops above a picture of the Daisy BB-Gun. I came to a stop looking down and I stood next to the man like an idiot, just staring at it. He made a furtive glance at the wife looking at him questioningly and then for just a small spell he managed to ignore her, as both of us sat side by side grinning as we continued to stare.

The wife suddenly ushered him on with a concerned voice and he, sadly, sighed a deep sigh while turning to follow. Walking away with her to wherever it was they were going the kid inside was saying to him, buy it, buy it!!! Suggested by his glances back over his shoulder.

I quickly followed, a deep sigh bellowing out, and I ignored the voice inside.

Now every time I go there, I avoid the area knowing that voice will come again.... I'm sure I will regret it when they stop selling them.

I have built two off list lowers, and they are configured with Prince 50's:cool2: Now when my house sells in ten to twenty years I'm going to move to Yuma and register my truck and get a Arizona license:p The first thing I will do is take the Prince 50's off the AR's and order a Thompson:eek: Then I'm going to load a bunch of 45 auto:)

I have one OLL that I have just built too, an SKS, and a Mosin M44. I also want the new GSG-5 and planning on building another OLL. The "disease" got me really bad.

I don't know anymore.

I know I have several safes full of longguns and a whole bunch more that won't fit.

Just enough to arm myself, my family, my friends, and most of my neighborhood, in the event of a zombie attack.

Only "most"?
Many in my neighborhood have commented that when the shtf, they are going to come over to me to be properly supplied with arms.

Are you telling us you like EVERY neighbor in your neighborhood?

When zombies attack, that A-hole renter next door who parks in front of my house is on his own.

Hence, "most" :D

FREEDOM FLIES IN YOUR HEART
LIKE AN EAGLE
Dusty old helmet, rusty old gun,
They sit in the corner and wait -
Two souvenirs of the Second World War
That have withstood the time, and the hate.
Mute witness to a time of much trouble.
Where kill or be killed was the law -
Were these implements used with high honor?
What was the glory they saw?

Many times I've wanted to ask them -
And now that we're here all alone,
Relics all three of a long ago war -
Where has freedom gone?

Freedom flies in your heart like an eagle.
Let it soar with the winds high above
Among the spirits of soldiers now sleeping,
Guard it with care and with love.

I salute my old friends in the corner,
I agree with all they have said -
And if the moment of truth comes tomorrow,
I'll be free, or By God, I'll be dead!

. . . Audie Murphy

I have the same one Audie Murphy had in the corner... God bless him

Oh no, we have a couple that are on their own for sure.
They are the ones that call the cops when we are making noise with the racecars...

Good to know I'm not the only one who looks at his neighbors and decides "OK - he gets the Mini 14. This one gets the Garand AND a BHP, and this guy gets the Remington PSS in 7 Rem Mag, this one gates an AR and so and so on ....."
