It will shoot a nice 3-4 shoot group, but after that...

Can you clarify that statement?
Also, did I miss the caliber of this rifle?
Newer model with Accu-Trigger?

Yes has Accu-Trigger. 308cal. The is broke. It will loose point of impact after a few shots.

Sorry to be a pest, but "The WHAT is broke"?
The broken bolt handle wouldn't affect accuracy, do you have insight as to why this rifle is losing accuracy after only a few shots?

Ummmm... What? I understand the bolt handle is broke(hell, you quote me stating that very fact), so I'm unclear what you're trying to point to in the original post.
Unless you're saying he's saying the rifle is broke?
That's like saying my car is broke. Ok, is it the engine, the radiator, transmission, etc. and how much will it cost to fix?
I'm just trying to figure out from the OP 1)why the rifle loses zero after 3~4 shots 2)what needs to be fixed 3)how much it will cost to fix the problem and ultimately 4)if I want to buy the rifle.
If you can divine, or the OP can state the answer to #1 & #2, I'll answer #3 & #4.

Answer to #1- Broken scope = doesnt hold zero.

Answer to #2- Buy a new scope.

Ahhh... I read it as the rifle wouldn't continue grouping, not the scope. Thank you.

Yup, I guess so!
But thanks for your keen insight, you've contributed soooo much to my understanding & this thread!

Take the bolt out of the rifle, unscrew the nut on the end, slide the broken bolt handle off the end of the bolt, slide on new bolt handle (you can find a take off bolt handle at savageshooters.com for cheap), reinstall the bolt nut.

It takes 5 minutes if you've never done it before and clean all the parts while you have it apart.
