Can anyone spot the Kimber Custom Shop modifications?

:)

Wild guess... but

30 LPI fronstrap checkering
30 LPI triggerguard checkering
install new bump grip safety
install 2 piece MSH and magwell
Install solid trigger
Install night sights
Refinish

How close did I get? :D

I'd say this is dead on ;)

Maybe throw in the different grips on there as well.

The grips are different.

You missed TWO BIG modifications though...

BTW the trigger is new mediums sized trigger and an Ed Brown safety grip but that's just a correction...

Still want to guess the TWO BIG changes missed?

Well, I just noticed the undercut triggerguard.

I'm guessing the 2nd is the 9mm barrel. It just occured to me that the only 9mm offered in CA is the Stainless Target II fullsize.

D'oh...the high cut grip always gets by me. I assumed the 9mm conversion was already announced seeing it was in the title ;) So does that mean you are also using a lighter recoil spring? 11lb maybe? If so..that could be another one :D

Very nice indeed..tastefully modded.

Ok, I'll give it to you.

Thanks.

My wife uses if for IPSC and defensive handgun courses.

She's enjoying it a lot.

She bought the gun from Reed's and I sent it to Kimber the next day for the changes.

Took about five weeks to turn the gun around.

Dennis, the Custom Shop guy, was very nice and helpful.

Now we're going to send in her Stainless Target II to a few of the mods done to it! :D

I'm pretty sure I know what it'll look like, or pretty close to it. :D

That's nice, in 9 for her too.

Hey come on 9 is my preferred caliber too! Its not a "womens caliber"!

Olav_ Did it start out as a 38 Super before modifications?

Very nice!

Range report please, I'm thinking of getting a 9mm pro myself.

May be a silly question, but they also fitted the 9mm conversion barrel, right? What was the turnaround time?

Very nice! Is it bushing-less?

It sure did.

Very accurate and minimal recoil too.

Here's two 12 round targets from 15 yards out slow fire:

Yes, they did everything. I had a bunck of stuff done that took 5 weeks.
If they were doing just a caliber change I'm sure it would be a lot faster.

Very nice! Is it bushing-less?

Yes, it is. It's a bull barrel.
