These are sweet carbines. Yours looks like a pre-safety model - a premium, if you ask me. Can be a good cowboy action gun too (w/o the scope, of course). I have a few Marlins and luv 'em. You know, you can always send it back to Marlin and they'll rebarrel it in a different caliber for you.

These are nice. I can't understand why they are still available. Any discussions on meeting half way, or do you see a trip say 200-300 miles north in the future?
Someone in the south just has to have these.....cause they are too nice.
