There's one on GunBroker in case anyone wants it. Not my auction and not associated with the seller. Just came across it.

Something tells me these are going to one day be available again. As soon as the mfg Sig used to contract for them figures there's a market for them here in the US.

It was surreal seeing a pair of factory wrapped 225 mags yesterday at a Grass Valley shop.

ProMag already sells replacement mags for about $19
Does anyone have experience with these mags?

I haven't had much luck w/ ProMags. Haven't tried it in the P6 but may pick one up within the next few months to test out.

I have a few factory mags and they have all functioned flawlessly.

the easy solution would be to buy two p6s.. now you have 4 magazines. =)

I have 2 8-round promags and run 150 rounds through them. 100 fmj and 50 jhp. Not a single issue with either of them. I think the issue is more with the 10-rounders than the 8's.

The only promags I've had issue with where their double stack models. Those were consistently poor performers. Always seemed to lose spring tension quickly.

I've had a few of their single stack models that have always worked well.
So, I'll bet their 225 mags should be fine... if they give you any grief, throw +5% wolff springs into 'em.

Promag pistol magazines have been poor performers in my experience, but now that I think about it (thanks for mentioning that Tonelar) they have all been double-stack models. I guess I've never used them in single-stack pistols.

The funny thing is that I've had great luck with their rifle mags.... I have no problem selling their rifle mags or rebuild kits.... I haven't been selling any of their pistol mags or rebuild kits because I would feel bad about selling them if the customer had problems. Maybe I'll have to try some of their single-stack mags in a couple of my weapons and see how they work....

point noted. i hav ea couple pro mag pc9 magazines and they work well... surprisingly, considering that if you look at them you would doubt they woudl work at all. the followers are all crooked, the metal is crap, and the springs are weak.

but they do work.
