As some of you will know exactly what this is whilst other will not. I do not want to put it up on Gunbroker even though that would yield more money, I'd rather sell it here locally. The only thing aftermarket on it is the Pachmyar grips, everything else is stocked and reworked.

This is, as far as I know, the only one of it's kind in existence anywhere in the world. I have never seen, heard of nor know of any other one in existence. Your buying my hard work and creativity, you are buying a piece of art modeled after an infamous 1911. The pistol shoots well and functions nicely, it even has a decent trigger and can do reasonable groups.

This is for sale locally in the LA/OC/SD area.

Price: $850 OBO SPF

Yes I did, before it went to get laser etched, but people were more interested as a complete project.

So no, no one else has one.

The pistols in the game are actually polished, not hard chromed. That picture is highly misleading. The "Silverballers" are simply polished stainless steel Hardballers. From what I can see based on the majority of the posters, art and the ingame representation (gameplay and weapons selection menu); that is what led me to that conclusion. I believe that the "hard-chrome" look is just the graphic artist lazy way out since the more detailed pictures shows otherwise. It's much easier to model and render a uniform surface than it is to show one that's the duo-tone as seen in the latter versions of the game. Of course it could be hard chrome, based on my research and playing of the 4 games I just don't think it is.

The sights are another point of contention since the actual in game representation shows otherwise, depends on which version of the game, which country and which posters you look at there are half a dozen or so variations. I chose to go with the easiest route, keeping it stock as can be seen by this example, note the differences in this version compared to other. It also shows the duo-tone (polished flats) nature of the finish.

It shows the Hitman logo in the grips, depending on the version that isn't always true. Also notice that it is a LEFT HANDED version. I wish AMT actually made a left handed version, but since they never have and never will I am content to do just one. The perfectionist in me would not allow two right handed version since the true setup is a left and right handed dualies.

The fact of the matter is that there is a left and right handed version. Along with that I have researched and can document about 2 dozens "variations" spread across the 4 games and 3 dozens posters/wallpaper made to advertise the game. What I made is what I think a real life Silverballer would look like. Viewed from an "artistic" and practical standpoints, I chose the version that I think best represents the game without being overly complex to build. There is no "cannon" version that anyone can point to and say it's the correct version.

Probably 47 is a 1911 fanatic and changes around parts all the time :)

Man - why would you sell this? It looks like you put a lot of your self into this. I might know someone who would love to buy this. What you really need to do is make a display case. I bet you can get over $1000 with that.
