BOTH RIFLES ARE SOLD PENDING FUNDS... IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN BEING A BACK-UP BUYER, PLEASE PM ME- I HAVE A LIST. FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED- THE PRICE STAYS THE SAME!

Location : Bay Area (Santa Cruz)
Terms: Rifles are older than 50 years, so I can do a FTF. I will need you to affirm that there's no legal reason preventing you from owning this rifle, and will need to copy down your California Driver's License Number for my bound book. Would prefer not to ship right now... dealing with the post-office in Santa Cruz is a major PITA, especially with shipping rifles. Also, I won't sell to anyone that mentions shooting corrosive ammo through these beauties!
Trades: Not really, sort of need the $$$ right now. However, I'm a sucker for Smith or Colt revolvers... ;)

Rifle: Soviet SVT-40
Price: SOLD PENDING FUNDS
was... $1100, for rifle package ($1000 if buyer picks up in Santa Cruz...)

Description: This is a SVT-40 Soviet rifle (1941), from the Izhevsk arsenal (according to stamp). The rifle has the early muzzle brake system and one or two minor arsenal repairs to the wood. Bore is in great to excellent condition and the bolt is purple. The entire rifle has been arsenal refinished, and is in excellent condition. The rear of the rifle is also cut for a scope mount, as well. All parts seem to match up number-wise, and some of the parts have been e-penciled w/ 629. I can find no import marks anywhere, save for the numbers T14417 faintly stamped on the rear receiver (barely noticeable). Only thing missing from this rifle is the cleaning rod, which I never got. Bayonet included with this rifle (excellent condition) is from the Tula arsenal(hard to discern from stamp), appears to be blued, and still has cosmoline on it. The bayonet for this rifle was not bought from Aimsurplus, but was acquired by the first owner of this rifle from a Russian immigre who brought over 10 of these bayonets for sale about 7-8 years ago. I'm sure that there's a good story there... The extra magazine is an aftermarket magazine (10 rounder). I had to do some minor hand-fitting to the magazine to get it to catch correctly. While the magazine claims to be a 10 rounder, I've only been able to fit 9 rounds in the magazine. Works great apart from that. I'm also including some replacement parts (see below).

I have personally fired about 200 rounds of non-corrosive, Wolf Bimetal 148GR through this rifle without any hiccups. Although, with the fluted chamber, it looks like it was designed to feed some pretty scary ammunition without problems. The rifle is very accurate- I wish that I had tried a scopep with it. Also a fun rifle to take to the range... or out to BLM land. The thump of the brake, plus the length of the rifle, commands some serious respect!

Includes:
* Bayonet and frog (w/ leather loop)
* 2x extra firing pins (and springs)
* 1x extra replacement gas valve

Description: This is a really, really nice Soviet SKS from the Tula Arsenal (1951R). I got this rifle NIB from someone who bought it at Trader's Sports EONS ago. He let the rifle sit in his closet until 2005, which is when I got it. I have fired between 100-150 rounds of Wolf bimetal through it without any problems. Rifle is in excellent condition... Bluing and wood are gorgeous. Some very minor scratches and dings (safe knocks), and a little flake in the finish on one side- nothing serious, though. This rifle is import marked on the left side of the receiver. Also, this rifle has the '1' stamped on the front site post, which indicates that it passed all accuracy tests with flying colors. Learned that from this post (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=98248&highlight=russian+sks). All parts match on this rifle.

Nice set. If I hadn't just bought an SVT-40 and SKS, I'd be all over these.
