I completed my build a few weeks ago and finally was able to get some free time to try it out today. Went to Los Altos for it's first time out. It is an all CMMG build. Nothing fancy. See pics below. Took me about 30 rounds to sight it in. Then went to the tin can range for some fun.:D I had one FTE out of about 150rds. Otherwise it was all good. I was using Remington .223 FMJ 55gr rounds from WalMart.

Here is a crappy pic of the AR.
CMMG - (Receiver, LPK, 5 Pos Stock, 16" M4 Upper), BB, 10rd Bushmaster Mag, EOTech 511, Troy BUIS.

After sighting it in. This is the best grouping I could get at 50yrds using my EOTech 511. Should I be able to get a bit tighter groupings with some practice?
Since I don't have a powered optic, I was just placing the center dot on the black as best I could.

Let me know what you think.

That looks similar to my first grouping when I first took out my OLL AR for the first time a few weeks ago. In fact, it was the first time I shot an AR...

This was my best groupings of the day w/iron sights only - I didn't have any optics at the time.

Great basic build and good shooting for the first time out with the rifle. Things will improve as you get used to the rifle, the trigger, and perhaps use better ammo. You have to set your own standard of accuracy...minute of angle, minute of deer, or minute of hillside.

Once again, nice rifle and good shootin'.
