View Full Version : What model was the .223 AR based sniper rifle?

There was an article in shotgun news about a year ago about an M16 based sniper rifle that shot a "powerful" 70ish grain bullet and was going to be adopted by the military. I tried looking for it and only found the XM110 .308 rifle. Does anyone remember who made this and what model it was?.

SPR MK12 Mod 1 or MK12 Mod 0, shooting a 77gr. OTM bullet (MK262 Mod 1).

There's also the 5.56 DMR (20" barrel).

Or the "West Coast DMR" (a M16A4 with an ACOG slapped on top:p)

lol when i was on the East Coast I went through DM school (USMC) which was a few weeks long and we did all kind sof stuff there. We were issued M21s.

When i showed up to 3/5 on C.P. they asked what schools I had been to and I had told them. They had the following to say:

"DM huh? Make sure when you go to the Armory you get an A4 with an ACOG then...."
