Another unofficial petition? Be wary. Problem is, many of these things are just data-farming tools designed to compile your contact info. Unofficial petitions carry no legal weight and there are no legal restrictions as to what can be done with the lists that are created. Chances are your info may be sold to commercial interests who market to gun owners (only OK if done on the up-and-up) or worse.

There is no substitute for joining NRA and taking part in the focused, hard work of tracking bills and providing valid constituent input to lawmakers, identifying and supporting pro-gun candidates (regardless of party), etc. The rest basically boils down to "feel good" actions that can possibly be harmful.
