Different judges for different courts, but my approach is that I vote for the judge with the least "law enforcement XYZ association" endorsement. There is a reason that democracies are based on three separate and independent branches. When the judicial branch has endorsements of the executive branch - I get worried as it's the tell tail sigh of potential coercion.

Are there any good choices running in the first place? Is there a way to vote no to both?

In Santa Clara county, it seems like judges run unopposed all the time.

One down, only six more to go, we're almost done.
