I am working on my first OLL build and have hit a snag. After installing the selector, detent, spring and grip the selector will not move. It acts as though it were pinned. For grins I pulled the grip and detent spring and the selector still will not move until I remove the detent. Break free didn't help any. I am using a Stag LPK. Any ideas/suggestions?

did you cock the hammer first? oh and be sure that the pointy side of the detent is against the selector and the flat part is against the spring, hope that helped.

just follow the OLL assembly instruction and you'll be fine.it took me less than 2hrs putting/assembling my first AR because of that step by step instruction

Are you stuck on "FIRE"? Ditto on what Bruce3 said, the selector won't turn until the hammer is cocked.

Cock the hammer...duh. That resolved it, thanks. It is still pretty stiff, not like my USA issue rifle was. Guess it will smooth out over time with use?

Yes both my STAG LPK and RRA LPK were a bit stiff. It will break in with use.

There was a calgun thread that had a guy that didn't understand why a gun couldn't not go on safe when it was cocked. He thought it was a dumb idea. It was a funny thread, like you are gonna be able to pull the trigger without it being cocked LOL.

NOW that's funny as HELL.......:43:

You aren't the only one who has done it.......I've had guys bring back their defective rifles....Maybe I should increase my AR for beginners classes........:D
