J&G Sales and AK-47 Policy.

Long story short, I did some work for JG Sales in exchange I wanted a Romanian AK. They E-mailed me saying it was against their policy to ship AK's to CA, so I called them directly. They will still compensate me, of course, just not with the AK that I want.

They explained that on the DoJ Website, it says "Any AK Series Rifle". I explained that Harrot vs. King overturned that. I also went on to say that dozens of companies are now shipping to CA, including Henderson Defense. I referred them to CalGuns.net and I was then told that "CalGuns can't help us in court". They basically said that they may change their policy in the future if they can get it in writing that it is legal to ship out here. Why won't the DoJ udpate their site?

Have them send it to CWS, you might have to pay a little to transfer, but you'll have your AK.

I think 2 hours for their attorney to consult with Chuck Michel is a very small price to pay. $1000. They can make that back in 20 minutes if the floodgates are opened thru Calguns.

Just curious, and if you don't mind me asking, what kind of work did you do? Was it a temporary sort of odd job? As a student, I'm always looking for stuff like that and I'd love to have the experience.
