I was unaware of ammo restrictions sales by mail in Orange County, did I miss the memo?
I called, and the person I spoke to said, "they were advised by their legal dept not to ship to L.A, or Orange County." I asked if this was a company policy, or State law, he did not know.
I know L.A. has some restrictions, but I am ignorant of any restrictions in the O.C. Are they correct, that this is County law?

They are probably just acting on FUD. I've received ammo shipments in the OC. The most recently was from Wideners. MidwayUSA, Ammoman, Natchez, and AmmuntionToGo have no problems shipping ammo to the OC. Spend your $$ elsewhere.

This is just getting ridiculous :mad:Find another source.... I bought ammo by mail three weeks ago... All I had to do was email them a copy of my DL to prove age. (And Im pretty sure next time I order for them, I can skip that step).

I've never had a problem ordering handgun or rifle ammo through the mail from any source, and I never had to send ID, only show UPS/FX ID at the door for handgun ammo.

I think you're right. Well, just as a reminder, don't bother wasting your time with this company if you live in L.A. or the O.C.
I sent them a reply, telling them, their reply to me has been put out to others, on this forum. If they want to lose business, so be it.

I have gotten ammo shipped to me in OC as recently as last week. More FUD. Would be curious to know where the comapny got their info.

There are a few mail order houses under the impression that they can't ship to OC. Sportsmans Guide is one that comes to mind.
It's curious how/where people get such information, but if a certain vote in Sacramento doesn't go the right way, it will be a moot point.

Do you have an e-mail from Sportsmans Guide stating that? I JUST ordered some ammo yesterday, over the phone, even.

These people are idiots, i once tried to order a British MK 4 Martini-Henry(made from 1881)from item and they said it was illegil to send to me in CA.Really pissed me off, to say the least.

Did you fax or email ammoman a copy of your CA DL? IIRC, I had to do that prior to them shipping to me in OC.
ETA: I just checked ammoman's web site. If they don't have your DL on file, they ship it w/ "Adult Signature Required".

Negative, they did not request it, and as of now, the shipment is being processed, well see. If they request it, I'll post.

I know that Precision Delta won't even send ammunition components into Orange County.

IIRC there is some confusion over restrictions to orange county FL and it causes some dealers to not ship to OC CA.

I was wrong about Sportsmans Guide. I was looking at a flyer I got in the mail from someplace called Sportmans Choice. Never heard of them before now that I think about it.

Sorry, I was not trying to make you prove anything, I just was wondering if my order was in jeopardy.

I tried to do an order for some 7.62x39 ammo over the phone with Samco Global a couple months ago and they told me straight up that they can't ship to L.A. and Orange county because it's illegal to ship there. Their prices were pretty reasonable too, so that was pretty frustrating...

No problem. Glad you asked. There is enough FUD floating around without us spreading it.
