Looking to buy some plinking WWB UMC or Blazer Brass in 45 in and around Sacramento, Cheapest I have found is was online but only when bulk(600 dollar order @_@ to save 20 bucks). I know the walmart on Florin does not sell ammo anymore but what about the super center in west sac, zinfindale, or elkgrove?

Try Stockton's Super WM. It's the only WM around here that I've seen that sells UMC. It's in the 250 mega-pack or whatever they call it. I'm not sure if they had it in .45, but know they had it in 9mm and .40 cuz i bought a box of their 9mm about 2 weeks ago.

I also know the Folsom WM and the two WM's in Roseville sell ammo, because I've purchased 100-pack WWB from both. Haven't seen UMC there, though. I was also at the Super WM in West Sac a few weeks ago, but don't remember any UMC there. Just 100-pack WWB.

Good hunting.

Have you looked at these guys? I have found their prices to be very good although it looks like they went up by about 40 bucks per 1000. I bought my last 1000 rounds of 45 federal for 299 and change. And no tax!!

If your out near Zinfandale, you can try Wildsports in Orangevale. They usually have walmart prices on their blazer but also have sales on other ammunition.

Wildsports is quite pricey. I remember a box of Gold Dot .40 S&W last year was about 23$ while online was still around 16$ Now that online is about 21$ im sure they are past 30$ a box.

Yes Roseville should have ammo at their walmarts, theres also sportsman warehouse in Rocklin, Very nice store maybe 1/4th the size of a cabelas is my guess since I havent gone to the one in reno yet.

That's strange.
I went last weekend specifically to the WSac Wal-Mart to see if they sold ammo and the clerk said they don't carry any. They only sell BB's and airsoft pellets.

The one in Elk Grove carries ammo. Rivercity Gun Exchange has decent ammo prices.

If you would be willing to shoot reloads I'm told Ammo Dump / John is the place to go. I just ordered 1,500 9mm and 500 45.

I will have to ask him if he would like me to post his info.

I buy from John at Ammo Dump and have never had a misfire or any problem in 3 different calibers and 2,000 rounds. He's at most of the Nor Cal gun shows. Nice guy too.

Guys........................
Where do you get the 5.56/.223 ammo in Sac????
Has anyone trued Wolf 223 ( the gray one I believe)?
Anywhere to buy reloaded ammo nearby?

I used to buy blazer Brass for my USP 45 form Wm for 12 bucks a box. it has been a few months since I went shooting so I have no clue how much they are now.
I think Big 5 by/around arden does sell ammo in sac , not sure about the prices though.

Waiting for my new Custom II and wanting to stock up on some .45 ACP (gotta be brass, per Reed's). Where are the good deals in San Jose? Wal-Mart's a no-go. Driving to Gilroy or Milpitas would negate any savings.

Anyone heard of any hot sales this weekend?

The new SuperWally in Orangevale has the 250rd packs of Rem/UMC pictol ammo. $67 for .40 -- If I was looking at the correct signage.

Well it's quite possible that I was mistaken about the one in West Sac. Damn you alcohol. Damn you straight to hell!

Sorry if you wasted a trip to West Sac. :kest:

sportsman's warehouse has some very good prices, very very good, they say they pretty much beat anyones price. i live in south sacramento, but i find myself over there in rocklin for sportsman's warehouse once, maybe twice a week. im looking to buy a semi automatic shotgun, and they sell the semi automatic brownings, the new silver model for 799 dollars, no i don't work there, im asian, hahaha. not saying anything, because i could care less, but if you're going to buy guns, i recommend them, they won't hold you to, or back you into a corner. i feel their fishing dept. is just as big as cabelas, cabelas does have a stuffed elephant that scared the **** out of me, i was walking through their clothing apparrel, and i thought i was getting charged by the elephant, pretty cool, never been up close to an elephant like that, except at marine world, they also have lions, and a cape buffalo, and a huge tank with diseased and dying steel head and salmon. sportsman is the size of a walmart, almost. not quite walmart prices on ammo, but they definitely carry way way more ammo. they have more guns than the gun room in elkgrove, i consider the gun room to have been the biggest gunstore ive been to here in the sacramento vacinity. great prices, believe me, because thats what my friend was trying to convince me of last year, i didn't believe him until we got there.

.45's, believe it or not. They were out of 230 grain, so I had my first taste of 200 +p's. Both weights were the same price.
