Transfer of ownership

I need your help guys. A friend of mine passed away recently and his wife is willing to transfer to me his rifle (22 rimfire) and a few handguns (all registered). It's either she'll give it to me for free or at a very low price. How should we do it?

PPT through your local FFL. Only way. Good news is it won't cost you an arm AND a leg.

Or, since they belonged to him, not his wife, you may be SOL, not sure how that works.

Now that he has passed they do belong to his wife unless he specifically designated they go to someone else.
