Do NOT buy this scope. The Sentry series is garbage.

I had one way back when I started shooting heavily. It was only usable out to 50 yards. At 100 the image was just horrible. Mirage destroys it's functionality. I got better spotting performance from my 3-9x32mm Burris compact rifle scope.

Good to know, I saw that as well and was wondering about it.
Thanks for the heads up.

the VAST majority of spotting scopes are garbage.
the Konus seems to be decent, but there should be better ones too.

At least those that are under, say $400-$500. This is nearly always a waste of money. Why pay money to look through a dog's ***?

A spotter's job is to help you clearly see details at long distances. The best optics you can afford should be the way you go.

Take care,

Scott

Scotty, what would you recommend for the money.

I actually have one of these and it works well for me. Crystal clear at 100 yards. Sturdy case and an O.K. tripod. I haven't tried it past 100 yards as I can't shoot well with iron sights past 100 yards.

I have one of these, it works well for what I use it for. That primarily being to see where my shot placement is at 100-200 yards when shooting paper at the range. Paid $99.00 for it on sale as well a few months ago.
