For those of you that do business with Brite Spot Pawn..

Do you find yourself staying there longer than you would normally at any other gun shop/dealer ??

At any other dealer I don't like to stay any longer than I have to, but at brite spot I find myself hanging around and chattin with Chris and whoever else is waiting to DROS or pickup, and it seems like they are doing the same! Chris pulled out the AK's that were confiscated in the recent raid for us to play with today and they were in beautiful condition.

I'm am not at all implying this as a negative experience, but always a great one. I just notice this every time I go and am wondering if anyone else has the same experience.

+1 for Chris and BSP.

i was there last saturday to pick up my lower....ended up DROS'ing another lower and staying for over 2hrs! I don't mind driving up from san diego to buy my stuff from him. i'll continue to buy my stuff from him too because he has been so helpful and informative to my father and I. I also saw one of the AKs, good stuff! I also met a couple of guys that were there for the same reason I was. I can't wait until I pick up my other lower(s)!!!

Anyway, anyone that hasn't visited that place, you should, Chris is a great guy!

All good experiences over there!

For anybody that lives in Socal and have not stopped by and visited chris, I highly recommend going to him. Like everyone has said, he is a great guy. I find myself going there and after leaving I look at my watch and find myself really spending almost two hours there. I know there are shops that has a lot more inventory than BSP and I am sure I can take it home that day, (uppers and ammo). I rather order my parts and wait than haveing to deal with a ffl with and attitude and don't give a poop about there customers. +1000 for Chris:punk::King:

Like the others posting here, I also can't say enough good things about Chris. If you are reading this and are into firearms, get over there and meet one of the best, most knowledgeable, and nicest guys around.

When you do stop in, don't forget to congratulate him and Bright Spot for the recent "smack down" they gave to the local Sheriff. All charges dropped and all rifles returned. Yeah!

Since I live relatively close to BSP it also is convenient to pop into Cold War Shooters and harass Hector and his Pop.

Chris and the rest of the "bunch" are so easy to do business with it's unreal. I just had a rifle shipped in from Conn and it was just too easy.

Don't forget, the battle with "The authorities" was not cheap. If you can find it in your budget to help them out with the legal fees you just might bring a extra check for that purpose. Every little bit helps and by doing it this way you can see the results unlike if you were to just mail it off to the NRA. (not putting down the NRA-just my observation).

Just make the check out to RIO and I'll pick it up the next day.......:D....okay forget that, just make it out to BSP. They'll appreciate it.

I'm going to be Colton on Monday evening. I plan on going to Bright Spot in the morning and will hand them a check for $325.00. That's from the proceeds of the Mossberg 9200 auction that I did to raise funds for their legal fees.

both Jeff and Chris are pretty good guys. Known them
since the mid 90's when there were along side mission
blvd. Bought a fair amount snap-off diagnostic tools
and bought my SAA there. Got to stop by and say
hello.

I think its a tazer gun. Hahah..

Now lets be honest that if a transfer or dros took as long as it does at BSP, most of us would be none too happy about that. At any other gunshop when there are customers ahead of me, I just mind my own business and wait impatiently for my turn to look at a gun or ask questions but at BSP Chris will help out everyone at the same time or bring out something from the back to show off to everyone. I like how he sets the atmosphere where everyone engages in the conversation.

Also another thing that is funny is once in awhile you'll see a meth addict pop in at the pawn side and ask for all sorts of weird stuff..

yeah well ade's take FOREVER. Ade is a cool guy and all, but it isn't the same. Chris will actually engage you in cool fun facts and crap. heh

I stopped going to ade's as soon as they bumped their transfer fee to $60! http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/images/icons/icon13.gif

haha. I've been consistently lucky, there's been at least 1 crackhead there everytime I've gone.

not since H&H in Redwood City closed their doors have I been to a comfy, hang out type gun store. Tabors in San Bruno is a great place. But, since Frank always has smithing to get to I try and limit my time there.

I will definitely try and visit BSP when I'm in SoCal next.

I wanna buy stuff from anyone that fights the good fight.

Man, that sounds good. Anyone know of a place like that in the greater San Jose area? Or any pawn shops that do guns well?

That orange thingy in the gun case is a pepper spray gun. It will shoot the spray as far as 15 feet. The chemical inside is the same as what Leo's use. Its pricey but has a lot of great features. This would be great for people that doesn't care for guns but still want an alternative to it or want to open carry but do not feel comfortable carrying the real steel.

Monday is Chris's day off. You're likely to find the surly pawn shop women who "don't know nothing about no guns". Any day but monday is the best to go to Bright Spot for gun stuff.

Hahah.. well the last time I was there some crackhead was asking for games for a sega. Then all of the sudden she got interested in the computer with the skull on it. She kept interrupting Chris when he was talking and was like.. "DOES THIS KEYBOARD COME WITH IT" and askin all sorts of questions, then moving on to something else and asking about that. hhah

I did my civic duty and put a couple of lowers on lay-away on Monday.
Got to fondle a few CZ75's I might just pick up when I finish Dros.

Last time I was in (which was way too long ago) some dirty toothless tweeker brought in buckets full of dirt sparkling with mica schist thinking it was gold. He thought he'd hit the mother load! He looked pretty bummed when Chris told him it was worthless. I bet that guy stayed up all night grinding his teeth the night before. Classic. I love BSP. Always entertaining and good times thanks to Chris and the ghetto.
