I was wondering if your Barrel is marked "CMMG MPC 5.56 NATO 1/7"?
I haven't gotten an answer from riflegear and im going to the range tomorrow. I have read that .223 and 5.56 barrel/chamber are different and can cause safety hazards if i fire a 5.56 rounds from a .223 barrel/chamber. Thanks.

Danny,
Check your PM. This is the second report I have received of a CMMG MedCon barrel with no stamping. I suspect somehow they missed this step in the mad rush to get caught up and some slipped out like this. Please call them and see if they are willing to replace the barrel on your upper and let me know what they say.

I have a 16" MEDCON upper that is stamped:
CMMG MP 5.56 NATO 1/7,
it may be MPC but its hard to read under the rail.

This isn't a gas piston upper is it?

No, it's a standard direct impingement upper. We now offer this configuration with a mid-length gas system and a rifle-length railed forearm as well.
